Hi there,

Just a curiosity, was down in troon today, west coast of scotland and the superyacht Le Grand Bleu is lying anchored in the bay. Not something that you see every day so was just wondering if anyone knew why it was there and who has brought it to a very damp and gray west coast of scotland instead of cruising around the med.

Owned by Yevgeny Shvidler, maybe he's stopped off for a round of golf at Troon. It's been around Scotland for a few weeks, Orkney's, Loch Dunvegan, Wick, Pentland Firth, Stornoway. It was at the Isle of Man at the beginning of the month.

Came over from the Bahamas via New York in July. To the Scilly Isles, then Dartmouth then up to the isle of Man & Scotland.

cheers for that, it's an amazing boat/ship certainly something i never expected to see. Don't think their would be much golf played though today as the weather is pretty shocking.

Roman's old toy. He gave it to a friend / parner.

He used it as a tender to follow whichever super yacht he was on at the time.

Holds multiple toys, sailing yacht, power boat, helicopter & crazy amount of toys.

Was in Edinburgh last week, amazing big toy!

the west coast of scotland is probably one of the nicest cruising grounds in the uk, so it stands to reason that any superyacht visiting or based in the uk would take the opportunity to visit.

It is a stunning piece of engineering, lots of toys by the looke of things, could see the 70ft+ yacht on it from the shore.
No pics unfortunately as i managed not to have either my phone nor my camera on me at the time, but certainly a ship i wont forgat seeing.
Good point about the sailing around these parts but it was such a miserable day yesterday that i thought it a bit odd for it to be there.
