Diecast planes....what scale?
Discussion
Wanna start a small collection of my fave planes, but wondered what's the best scale to go for? Like 1/43 or 1/18 is generally right for cars etc. I don't want to end up with a Harrier that's bigger than a 747!
I've seen 1:144 (I think!) That was a Vulcan, which would be the first I'd go for. Or is there a scale that caters for more models than that? They're only going in a cabinet, not ceiling mounted or anything!
Cheers

Depends on what aircraft you want. 1/72 is probably best for military aircraft with 1/144 being favoured for airliner sized planes.
These scales come out of the favoured scales of the plastic kit industry.
I don't buy die-casts - preferring to knock them together myself from available kits.
