Polar Opposites,

The LS7 is big displacement NA motor circa 505hp, while the LS9 is supercharged forged LS3 6.2 (in simple terms) only with GM's own supercharger built on circa 630hp.

However the LSX454 is 7.4L NA and 620hp

Better is dependant on requirement............

Dont want to overstep my knowledge boundarys

Neither, who can offer a guaranteed map for a blown ls9 at this stage. Even the ls7 is borderline aftermarket. It's far to early to tell what will happen in a different chassis installation.

All of those are tiny, ever heard of a GM 572?? 9.4 Liters that put out around 720whp and oh somewhere around a million torque

I agree it is a work of art.
However being a cast Iron block it’s going to be heavy, and a little over the top unless you are going to add some major boost or a big nitrous system.
These LSX blocks with the 6 bolt heads can make 2000HP with the right parts.

There are plenty of Alloy aftermarket options for a 454lsx
Dart, World Products, Comp RHS, Darton Sleeves etc. There is even a 500 cube LSX option, but its a tall deck. 454 is about Max with standard height deck.

No point even considering the iron one as its 40kg or so heavier. I guess if you just want a quarter mile muncher and mega boost it might be ok.
