Was in the Florida Mall earlier lusting over a certain Monaco.

Comes with 2 straps, second is a terrible snake skin looking thing.

Anyhow, I asked the price, she said retails at US$5,000 but she would do it for $3,800 which roughly equates to £2,300.

This strikes me as massively cheap.

She has said if I go back tomorrow, she will honour the offer?

Surely it would be even worse if they were cubic zircona?

For gods sake don't do it, you're in Florida, that is clearly one for the Columbian drug lord market:

Mullet hair-do - Check
Silk shirt - Check
Linen suit - Check
No socks - Check
Chrome pistol with mother of pearl handle - Check
Bling Monaco - Check

The standard Monaco retails for around £2,500-£2,700 in the UK, see if you can get a decent discount on one of them.

The Tag Monaco WW2118 (as shown) retails at £4395 in the UK. If you like it, the price is unbeatable....

wow, that is truly disgusting. You could always buy it and move it on for a profit maybe?

Ask yourself "Would Steve McQueen wear this watch".

I find that is a good test for any watch purchase wink

I think we all know the answer in this case. Frankly, I'm not sure Gok Wan would even wear that monaco!

I'd buy it to sell in the UK if I was confident it's 2nd hand retail price and demand for it were there.

I can't envisage demand being especially high over here for it, no idea about 2nd hand price.

If you like it go for it, price wise it can't be sniffed at if the retail is 4k+.

I'm going back today. They had a few Monacos, would be interesting to see what they can do on the others too.

Cant really afford to spend the cash in the hope I can sell it on to be honest.

I have almost all the Monaco watches and I would not wear that if it was free.

Perhaps thats why there is such a good deal????

Don't forget to add sales taxes to that price. Not sure how much they are in Florida but could be in the order of up to 10%. That'll narrow the gap somewhat but if you like it why not. Retail is still suffering over here

Well I didn't. Tried it on as a "worst case scenario, I can't sell it, I'll wear it" and it wasn't all that good...

Then, I went for a round of golf, put my Carrera in the golf cart as it was irritating me while I was playing. Between hole 7 and 18 I lost it.

Travel insurance covers single items to £250 max. st.

Not a good day, whatsoever.

Bugger.

Oh dear!

Is it covered away from home under your house insurance?

I don't know, I need to look into the 'all risks' section of home insurance when I get back.

Gutted is an understatement.
