The OH went to Tesco over the weekend to buy a pack of teaspoons for work.
At the checkout the lad had to call a supervisor to confirm she was over 25, apparently this is due to drug missuse, WTF?
Assuming they were metal, they are used to hold the drugs whilst heating from underneath with a lighter... assuming they were plastic, then assistant is a fAt the checkout the lad had to call a supervisor to confirm she was over 25, apparently this is due to drug missuse, WTF?
king idiotHow ludicrous.
Is it illegal to sell spoons to under 25s? Not as far as I know.
Why 25? Do people above that age not take drugs? Are adults between the ages of 18 and 25 not allowed to make their own decisions anymore?
How many spoons, realistically are used to take drugs? I suspect a very small %. It's not exactly hard to steal a spoon if you are really desperate for one anyway.
What in the name of god are Tesco up to? It sounds like they've taken a leaf too many out of Labour's totalitarian guide book!
I am amazed by this.

So if the supervisor hadn't believed her to be over 25 then they would refuse to serve her for a pack of teaspoons?
What sort of country do we live in when shop staff won't serve you something because their first assumption is you're going to break the law rather than use a product as its intended?
I mean, you have to be retarded if the first thing that springs to mind when someone is buying a pack of teaspoons is that they're going to cook up heroin with them rather than stir their brew.
Or that the parents doing their weekly shop which includes alcohol are going to give it to their kids they've dragged along rather than consume it themselves.
I take it the 'nothing to hide nothing to fear' brigade are all okay with this?
