Go karting Saturday 3rd October - provisional
Discussion
Right due to popular demand I'm planning on organising another Go karting Session for those that missed the secret one for Elliot.
Need to get an idea on numbers before I can get times available and put together properly. We went to the Falkirk based Xtreme Karting which most people seemed impressed with and seemed ideal, distance wise. Good Karts and track, had the hall booked out to ourselves. Cost wise it was £40 and I paid half in deposit the week before.
Not sure what the maximum numbers are but if we get to that point it would have to be a first come first served basis based on deposits paid but we can fight it out later if need be.
Feel free to ask any questions. Believe one (or more) of the guys that runs the events at Xtreme Karting is a PHer.
So I'll start things rolling with a list.

hey caroline,
if you lot are willing to come to edinburgh then Raceland is an ideal place for the karting,
it has the advantage of the outdoor track with karts that are much quicker and help the heavier peoples out there!

Let me know if I can help, am sure we can sort you out a special PH rate/extra laps if you give either Scott or myself (Barrie) a call!
Some good offers on at the moment if you can do midweek? http://www.xtremekarting.co.uk/NewsItem.aspx?ID=f9... ? Karting from £20 / driver if you time it right! Not sure I could discount that any more

Would this be an evening event? (I work Saturdays day time)
We went on Saturday evening last time, if people want to add any preferences time wise and I wil try accomodate as many people as possible. As Barrie says (Hi!) there is the weekday option available. Wasn't sure if people would be able to get home from work in time but if people are up for it, its a lot cheaper.
Want to stick with xtreme this time round just as I am confident it will be good from my own experience.
karts at extreme were really good and all seemed pretty even powered and well set up. Last time i went to raceland the karts were all totally different. All the same make but some bogged down at times, some had loads of play in the steering others the brakes were crap. one race i got a good one and it was awsome but another race at one point it just wouldnt accelerate and i drove up the strait doin about 15mph goin WTF this is s

If any of you are worried about your weight being a disadvantage, then maybe i can help??
I just happen to own a gym, but not too sure what miracles i can perform in 5 weeks. If it's October 2010 for Karting then i can definately help.
