Touran Heater blower only works on 4

Hi all,

Mum's Touran has recently developed a fault with the heater fan, only blows air on the number 4 setting. Any thoughts?

Google showed up someone with the same fault but no answer.

looks like you can't just replace the switch, whole control model

It wont be the switch I had the same problem a few years ago on another car, it will be a small control unit that is probably located under the dash board. Cant remember what its called but should not be to expensive to replace, only unhook the wiring loom and plug the new one in.

The only thing I can find that is imilar on ebay is for a nissan http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-HEATER-BLOWER-RESISTO...

Usually under the dash, but the circuit fails not the switch or the blower motor.
