Reflection on white
Discussion
Forgot to say let's see yours and what you use. Just bought myself a white my97 STi to replace my red wrx type ra so I'm looking for a new combo to give me the finish I used to get on that. I'm thinking a combination of Dodo PH, BV, LF and WD over Megs Speed Glaze. It's going to take one hell of a correction first though

Slightly off topic, but nice car Matt... how does it compare to the old style scoobies?
Alas the hatch isn't mine. I just bought a v4 sti ini white. The hatch is a mates who wanted a detail in exhange for a few graphics. He's had an RB5 and 2 Hawkeye STi's. The hatch is his favourite. Must admit just sitting in it before detailing it, it's much better laid out and untold amounts more comfortable. It's a big car as well. Was making my classic look relatively small.BTW Red Mist is a pita when you want foam to sit on the car to soak into bugs to be able to get them off without scrubbing. lol. I jetted the car down before applying a Megs APC / Hyper wash mix though the foam gun and it was just beading like mad
. Then I put the foam on (and I like my foam thick). It had run off after a minute maybe 2. It normally takes it a good 5 or 6 mins to shift! Mark (the owner) has nothing but praise for RM.[quote=mneame
That's stunning. LSP?

Thank you Sir. Chemical Guys Ez Creme Glaze with 2 coats of Jetseal 109 to finish, its an everyday runner for the owner so he wanted something that was going to as durable as possible.
Will post up a few others later or some other white bits and bobs!
Cheers

More superb work. Got to love jetseal 109. Mainly ued it in the past for door shuts, never used it on the full exterior before.
I corrected the front wing of my sti tonight. Have laid down a coat of Megs Speed Glaze and covered with a layer of Dodo SN. Few more layers to come and then a coat of RM

My own STI is desperate for a full wet sand but i've not got no idea when I'll be able to get to it. I can drop it off if you want?

i did notice in the first pic that it seems to have a lot of orange peel in your new car ,
I would love to take a look sometime for you
Kelly My old rallye last may, was getting dark by the time i'd given it a full machine polish and its 1st ever clay treatment. (Never got round to having plastic arches painted, some idiot bumped into it) Had covered 140k miles by then though so go easy on it lol.

Unable to get reflection shots, was getting dark by the time i'd finished it, but looked fantastic the following day at the Practical Performance Car Magazine show at Mallory park, if i may say so myself.

Now just need a decent weekend to do the current rallye.
