I just booked myself on this as it's the only trackday at bedford this year that isn't on a (work) weekday and I have no holiday left! It will be my first ever trackday, and I'm in a weedy Mk1 MR2 with 120bhp, so I will almost certainly be holding everyone up but we've all gotta start somewhere right?

I just wondered if anyone off here was going. I have booked a 30min tuition session as well, but any beginner advice would be welcome!

I'll be there, trying not to get black flagged for noise wink
Not been to Bedford before so not sure on the set up and no idea where the track goes so I'll be just as slow. driving

Why don't you give them a call and arrange to go and have an on-track noise test?

Well I passed the noise test, didn't crash, didn't spin, and (hopefully) didn't hold anyone up for more than a couple of corners. I had a brilliant day, I can't believe it's taken me ten years of being a petrolhead to finally get on track - anyone out there thinking of doing a trackday, stop thinking and just do it!

It was a good day all in all. driving

Arrived a bit late after getting lost, sat nav broke, and the place had no signposts at all. rolleyes
Why does a place that is going to attract low slung cars really need nasty sump smashing speed humps. rolleyes

But the trusty BMW survived the day, tyres and brakes are now shagged but all in the name of fun so thats fine. rotate

The noise reading the BMW got was a lot lower then my DIY reading so I'm tempted to think the TVR might have just sneaked under the limits but not to worry, I'll know for next time. wink

I asked about the signposts, it seems to be a local planning thing. My sat nav lied to me about where it is but it was worth it once we got there. Now I can't remember why we haven't been there for so long!
