Apart from the usual PH suggestions of nuking from orbit, VBRJ, kick in the face etc etc, does anyone have any tried and tested ways to deter moles? We seem to have Arnold Schwarzemole and several of his cousins at work under our lawn to judge by the size of the heaves. Not very keen on poisoning, but would just like them to take their business elsewhere.
Dog poo down the hole, they don't like the smell,Worked for a while at my old local flying site.
Also, go buy a load of airbombs near november the 5th, light and quickly stick down the hole then cover the hole with someting heavy to deflect the noise, the smoke peeves them off and the dull THUD you get from the airbomb seems to scare them off.
basically anything smelly seems to work, so any long burning flare type firework, just cover the hole to keep the smoke down there.

These are what you need: http://www.gamekeep.co.uk/prodpage.asp?productid=2...
B&Q do them too.
Ok, it's a bit final, and you do end up with a dead mole rather than 'detered' mole, but you do end up with the problem solved.... until another one moves it of course.

That's the things for them B&Q do them too.

Of course the galleries are still there for another mole to move into. Unless you've got hundreds of molehills, it's probably only one mole..

Is that just pumping propane into the burrow then igniting it? That's the approach I would take :-)Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
