Hi all
While enjoying the lovely weather on Saturday the car decided to do it's best impression of a tractor I've ever heard! The upshot being that the middle section on the exhaust system need replacing.
I was pointed in the direction and JP Exhausts, who have been very helpful but I have a question which I'm sure you guys can help with.
It would appear that the standard system as a box in the middle section of the exhaust. My middle section is void of such a thing. It's just a pipe connecting the manifold to the final bit which has a small can and the tail pipe.
The question is: do I have another system that someone can identify or have I just got a home made middle section which should really have a box in it?
Thanks
Rob

Could be either Rob and most probably the latter due to previous impact damage. your new exhaust system will depend on how loud or quiet you want the car as to how big and how many boxes need fitting. While enjoying the lovely weather on Saturday the car decided to do it's best impression of a tractor I've ever heard! If you don't mind a bit of travelling I would also recommend AAS in newcastle on the Bells close industrial estate. They are also very good with workmanship you cannot fault, They recently did my griffith exhaust system which has even greater packaging problems then yours
I assume you will be renewing the manifold as well to get the best out of that new motor you fitted! how is it performing bye the way?

Hi Neil
I guess it'll depend on price. I'll weigh up the numbers and see what I can afford. I'd love to replace the lot but I'm not aware of how much a full system would cost or the amount of gain I'd get. Any ideas?
As for the new engine, I've done about 500 miles in it now so starting to have some fun. It's like a different car! And when you get over 4000rpm, it's like 2 different cars!!
Thanks
Rob.

Ok I have the new exhaust, but I have a question.
When I took the old one off it only had one hanger right at the back of the chassis. The new shiny one as another pair of hooks at the other end near to the S bend that connects to the manifold. I didn't notice anything on chassis to hang them off. What should I have?
Thanks
