Air con switch wiring
Discussion
I am wiring up the air con switch and there are two terminals on the back of it, one is for the pink/white wire that goes to the pressure switch but what goes to the other terminal - would it be a live pos feed?
Help would be appreciated as I donot want to try a pos feed and cause damage to the unit if it is the wrong choice.
Cheers,
Martin.

Are you using the factory system and switches?Help would be appreciated as I donot want to try a pos feed and cause damage to the unit if it is the wrong choice.

Reason I ask is that there is no Pink/White wire in my AC system.
The wire from pressure switch to AC switch is Grey/Red. The other terminal has a blue wire going to terminal C on the AC stat.
I have version 3.0 of the build CD and the wiring is the same there.

Steve,
Unfortunately this part of the wiring in my car is not as the wiring diagram.
There are 2 terminals coming out of the back of the switch (the one you rotate to turn on the a/c and set how cold you would like it to go).
One wire i have traced to the pressure switch but cannot find the other wire so dont know if it should be positive, negative or whatever.
Hope this makes sence?

Do you have two switches?
One is the stat switch with 2 contacts
The other is the fan switch with 5 contacts.
Let me walk you through the circuit.
Live goes to Fan SW pin B
Fan SW pin L, M, H go to the Heater/AC fan motor and are the various speeds.
Fan SW pin C goes to the Stat SW and is only live if the fan is switched to one of its speeds.
Stat SW other contact goes to AC pressure SW.
If AC Pressure SW is made then it supplies power to AC Compressor clutch and AC Relay.
AC Relay when activated supplies power to the condensor fan.

My thermostat control has a grey wire going to the pressure switch and the second wire goes to terminal 'C' on the fan control switch - is that what Steve is saying above?
eta: I think it is!
Just to add, my car has a Sport loom. The wire connecting the thermostat control to the fan switch C terminal was not in the loom, I had to add this wire "external" to the loom.eta: I think it is!

I had a major short circuit and had to replace some of the wiring, while this was being done I had some of the wiring changed so the circuits are better protected.
I assume while this was all being done, the wire from the fan switch to the a/c switch must have gone missing and since i did not take it apart, did not know how it should be wired.
It only took me 10 mins last night to sort thanks to your advise.
Everything is now working fine.
