As the title suggests!
i'm having an issue steering to starboard,it is noticably less positive than when steering to port! i have a v6 inboard pp jet boat, i've just replaced the helm as it was worn but the steering hasn't improved.
i thought it may be something to do with the rotational direction of the venturi but cant be sure,
every thing else within the steering works as it should and i have full movement of the jet outlet and rudder
any ideas welcome

If the nozzle movement is all present and correct, and assuming this a properly designed jet installation(home-brewed efforts can give odd handling problems with miss-matched hull/jet combinations), it could be a trim problem or the stator/flowstraightener in the jet may have become damaged.

Have you got the control arm on right. If you've got it wrong, it will alter your "lock" as well as make the left:right ratio uneven.

I had every possible problem in the book with my 63 Dowty Turbocraft.

I'd put money on your steering arm being a touch out of whack.

Thanks for the replies guys,
it's not a home brewed affair the boat is a dateline bikini, when turning the steering out of the water there is full movement to both locks and sits nicely in the centre without any play when the steering is straight and the stator doesn't seem damaged, i'm confused

Is it possible the reversing buckets are drooping and messing up the steering?

Have you tried applying pressure to the nozzle while steering (to simulate the load/resistance of the water) sometimes the steering cable can bow under pressure and show the symptoms your seeing..
