Food – Health – Sport - Gadgets –

Does anyone know of a good application for the blackberry phone that could be used to monitor food intake. To assist with diet and calorie counting.

Health and Diet Manager from Iambic software, has databases of food and nutrients including brands like McDonalds. Also calculates or keeps track of energy expended at the gym. There is a Windows version too which syncs with the blackberry version to do graphing, CSV export etc. IIRC I paid $29.99 for both.

It's pretty good, some slight oddities but for $30 it is good. Once you've inputted a food it is stored in a database so for example if I have Sainsburys vegetarian sushi for dinner I just select it and the calories, fat, protein etc is already stored.
