Potential Hazards on M8 today

A little warning to all.

There appeared to be some kind of risk on the M8 today, in particular around the West Lothian sections.
A fair bit of sudden panic braking and the like.

The Police are obviously aware of the issue and they have posted several cars on the roadside in addition to an unusual number of trafpol cars and bikes patrolling along the M8.

Noticed there was a Traffic Passat (first one I have seen) on the police layby bit Eastbound between Harthill and Whitburn. Was there when I passed at 8.40 and still there on my return at 10.00 so don't think they were being kept too busy!!
