I put my contact lenses in as normal this morning.

But I'm having trouble focusing on things close up. IE I can barely see what I'm typing without putting my face right next to the screen.

I dank about 10 bottles of beer last night but I don't feel hungover.

Never experienced this before and my contact lenses are in the right way.

Weird.

Daft question but are they monthly contacts? that you have to clean every night.. sometimes when i dont fill the cleaning container up enough then a small bit of the lense sometimes dries out, which leaves my eyesight a little wierd,, maybe that?

It started off with blurred vision...where he could only see the computer screen really close up. smile

Only joking - I don't know the details - he had some kind of infection that damaged the surface of his eyes. Bizzarely (at least to me) he'd never worn glasses and didn't own a pair, so it was bit of a shock to him.

i take it you're using soft lenses, might be worth checking you haven't turned them inside out, you should be able to feel it if you have.

Looking at distant objects is one eye slightly blurred compared when normal? I am guessing one of the lenses is slightly muckier than normal! I had this a couple of days ago and I also could not focus at readingish distance. If you have a new pair of lenses test this by wearing tham instead.

What I am suggesting is that in order for your brain to be able to compute an image it needs to be fed two clear signals as per the norm. If one is out of synch computer says no!

ever thought of ringing your opticians and asking them what might be causing it?

That sounds about right.

I have taken them out and my eyes appear to be working normally with glasses, so that's a relief.

I hate wearing glasses though, because I look like a more manly gok wan. Which tbh isn't the look I'm going for.

I think they must be a bit dirty or something, as they didn't feel uncomfortable when I put them in, I just couldn't see very well.

They are only 2 weeks old and I wore some ages ago for over 3 months and didn't have any troubles. So how they have gone a bit funny is a mystery.

Will try to put them in later on.

Hold them up to the light. One of them more smeary? Clean it and put back in case with fresh solution and try later.

I know instantly that something is wrong when I put them in. Felt fine except for the poor vision.

Probably just a bit grubby as you suggested.
