small river boat

Hello all.. question..possibly looking to get a small rivercraft, would like something that at least looks half decent/sporty etc, would be purely for the odd day trip up and down thames, be good if it could hold about 6 people..

anything I should look out for especially?

I see some in ph classifieds at about 10k, will this buy anything decent or not?
