6 days in orlando
Discussion
well going to spend some time there mid september and looking for a bit of advice/opinions. its just me and my partner so no children and wondering where is best to go? def want to go to space centre, busch gardens and some kind of water park ,aquatica maybe? there seems so many im a bit unsure also is it worth going to the actual main disney park given we have no children or should we just stick to the other parks given our limited time? any help much appreciated.
Don't bother with Magic Kingdom, but EPCOT & Animal Kingdom (if you like animals) would be OK.
Universal Studios is one of the better Orlando parks, though if it's just rides you're after then try Islands of Adventure (you can get a joint ticket and see the best bits of both in a day if you don't hang about).
Seaworld also appeals to all ages, and you can save money by getting a joint Seaworld/Busch Gardens ticket.
Straying from the main parks, there are things like Gatorland and Cypress Lake Airboat rides to keep you occupied.

If your doing Busch, you might not want to bother with Animal Kingdom. Not that different. You can get a joint ticket for Busch/Seaworld/Aquatica, which also lets you go back.Universal Studios is one of the better Orlando parks, though if it's just rides you're after then try Islands of Adventure (you can get a joint ticket and see the best bits of both in a day if you don't hang about).

busch is a fair trek if your there for only 6 days, especially if your gonna do kennedy too
Sea world is well worth it, as is universal (both parks) and hollywood studios, the others are very kiddy orientated, though there all great if you a big kid like me lol
best water park is blizzard beach IMO, i didn't rate aquatica... Typhoon lagoon is good, but blizzard better, never done wet n wild, looks abit dated from the street when i've drove by!
don't forget to take a trip upto the premium outlets at the very top of I Drive for some bargains.... £35 hugo boss shirts, £20 ralph polos, not to be missed

If its parks (Universal), a water park and Busch gardens then Orlando Flex Plus should do the trick, you can get a five day ticket that will cover:
Universal's Islands of Adventure®
Universal Studios®
SeaWorld®
Wet 'n Wild®
Aquatica™
Busch Gardens
Space centre can be bought seperatly. Pretty sure both Busch & Kennedy are easily accessible by bus but opted for the hire car option myself.
Will be out there myself with the OH in Sep...lets hope for some decent weather.

thanks for the input, im thinking of getting the flexi ticket but still unsure about the main disney park? can you go in parts of it or do you pay for the whole thing? got a car hired so busch and space centre should be fine just trying to figure what to fill the other days with. also is there much savings on buying in advance or just show up on the day?
I've been with my OH on our own for the last 2 years.
Do the parks if you've never done them before. We spent about an afternoon in each when we went, there's certainly no need to spend all day in them.
Didn't do Busch Gardens or the water parks but did:
Universal - Meh
Seaworld - Ace
Magic Kingdom - Meh, but the OH loved it
Hollywood Studios - Ace
Kennedy Space Centre is the best thing out there - fantastic.
We got tickets before we went and found it reasonable value.

Unless you have spare time to kill (unlikely) I really wouldn't bother with the Magic Kingdom unless you have kids in tow. Too much of it is aimed at the lower age groups. You can't really nip in just to do the more grown-up bits, and it would be impractical anyway (by the time you've got there, parked, and got the monorail to the inner park entrance). And you'd still have to pay the full ticket price.

Seeing as you have a car how's about the Daytona?http://www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com
You could get a short duration Go Orlando card which would gave enough items to keep you busy, this would include Kennedy, Daytona, Gatorland, some mini golf etc.

Echo thoughts on here, Universal everytime to get as much as poss in a short time
September is a great time to go - parks are at their quietest (when I went in September a few years ago I was walking off rides and straight back on (though they make you walk round again - you cant just sit on even if there are loads of spaces!) even on thhe likes of the hulk and duelling dragons)
