I need some advise and guidance...

Today I was parked at the side of the road waiting for the gf to come back from a shop, when the person in front decided to throw their car into reverse straight back into the front of my Chim!

Wonderful!

Anyway, the damage is not too bad, just managed to scuff the front of the bonnet, but of course will require some kind of respray.

Have got all details for insurance, but thought I'd ask you helpful lot out there. I need to get a quote for a respray, but i wasn't sure where the closest/best place to go is? I have done a search, and have come up with a few names.

I live in central London (although this happened down in Truro, Cornwall - visiting the gf's folks). Any recommendations for places in London?

I can't post pics at the mo - no digital camera. But basically the damage is restricted to a scuff about 20cm long at the front of the bonnet. Is a touch up job possible or is a full respray likely? Also, as the 2 front wings are untouched, would the insurance only cover the bonnet, or would the whole of the front of the car be done?

Lots of questions! Any helpful replies welcome.

Great Christmas present! Oh well! These things happen!

Don't be too hasty to assess the damage. Glass Fibre has a nasty habit of taking it's time before showing the full extent of damage. Watch for crazing to appear over the next few weeks.

Also,

depending on your cars colour the repairers may decide to blend the colour into the wings too which obviously increases the cost, so look at a quote for a complete front end respray.

You could try Bee Gees in Chessington - they've been recommended on PH a number of times www.oilypages.com/links.asp?page=bodyshops&
