Looking for admin work in the South Glos area

My partner is soon to be made redundant, she is looking for Admin work in the south Glos area, does anyone know of anywhere recruiting? She has tried the local papers and some agencies with no success as of yet, as there seems to be very little/nothing about at the moment. I have told her to put her CV on monster.com but she`s a bit reluctant, do people actually get jobs that way? is it quite successful has anyone had any dealings and successes with Monster.com?
Any sensible advice or comments please.
