Vauxhall free week insurance.

My car is supposed to be ready for tuesday but i only had the reg no today.

i said do i need to drop off cpver note etc,but the woman said that i might get a free weeks insurance.

she also said that that is what they do for normal cars so she was not sure about a vxr8.


has anybody had this.i want to know as i have to sort out my insurance and stuff so i can have it on sept 1st.

When the other half got her new motor we got a free weeks cover from Norich Union just for getting a Quote.
They email the covernote to the dealer so they can get the vehicle taxed.

I pick mine up on the 8th and i can confirm it comes with 1 weeks free insurance

Are you sure? I was initially told this but it transpires the VX policy does not cover VXR8s!

I got no free insurance with mine, was specifically told to provide my own insurance prior to picking it up.

My Father in law owns a Vauxhall dealership and can confirm the 7 day insurance is legit.

They just use your details to try and seel you other stuff!!

I bought my Monaro from slaters in Colwyn Bay, a Vauxhall main agaent, and was told that i would get one weeks free insurance.
They gave me a card with all the details and a web address, said i could do it online. However, while filling in all my details on the web site, i entered the cars reg no, but the site said it didn't recognise it and strangely the drop down menu listed all the common Vauxhalls, but no Monaro.
So i abandonded the web site and rang them instead, only to be told that they do not cover the Monaro.
So no free insurance.

They are probably used to dealing with group 4 1.0 litre corsas, not a 6litre+ V8 thats group 20 lol
