I'm interested in creating some photo books from my fave pictures. What's the best on the market at the moment in software, quality, turnround and price terms?

Can they do B&W without a colour cast?

http://www.cewe-photoworld.co.uk/photobook/photo-book.php

http://www.bobbooks.co.uk/

both are fairly good for colour, no idea about B&W.

Beyond these I think you end up with pro wedding books types like http://www.graphistudio.com - about 8-10 times the cost i think

CeWe (haven't used them myself) just won the EISA photo awards for best photobooks if that's anything to go by.

I have this links page to nine different photobook companies: www.blokewithacamera.co.uk/albums.htm - fill yer boots!

I haven't used any of them personally but Blurb always seem to get good reviews.

I used Blurb in January and was very impressed, other than their delivery times can be a bit slow.

I have not done a complete b&w book FotoInsight, but several time a double page spread in black and white. I use http://fotoinsight.co.uk/book and it works well.

I have today sold my 250th Blurb book!

If only they'd start printing in the UK... postage costs kill on-line sales.

Well done Steve. Any chance of the Blurb link smile

My first Blurb books just arrived (family holiday snaps) and the quality is great, well chuffed.

Paul... if you want one, I'll send you one at cost (120 page @ £12 inc P&P) ... postage via Blurb is silly (almost 50% of the cost of the book). PM me if you want one - or better still, come up here and take some photos, then I'll buy your book. smile

ETA you can now preview the entire 120 page book on Blurb... mine here: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/invited/584986/276f...

Thanks for the linky Steve, looking very good bow. I like the idea of a trip up north, I have some clients around the Inverness area. Just need to tag on a half-day hear and they’re for some photo time… scratchchin
