"Had manifold gaskets replaced 3 years ago because the tapping was driving me insane.

Recently i have noticed a small ticking from the engine area when under load(low acceleration),but only when the roofs off(i know dont take the roof off then!!).

Engine done 68,000 and had full 12,000 mile service 10 months ago with no problems.

Ideas would be appreciated

The source of my amusement was more that, as per all Chimp owners, he drove around with the roof up. I empathise with the fact that he's suffering from detonation

If you read the context of that thread, rather than just the words, you'll find its less about the service schedule itself and more about not wanting to miss anything now I'm 'servicing' the Griff myself.
Since when is servicing the clutch cylinders, stripping and cleaning the calipers, replacing UJ's etc part of any sort of service schedule?
