Fuel pressure test gauge hunt

Have been looking online for a fuel gauge that I can screw into the fuel rail to check my pressure. Pretty sure you can test it that way, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Can't find one with a threaded connector, all have some daft rubber thing that I dont't think will work well. Has anyonme got one like this and if so, where did you get it.

Pressure in the fuel rail tells you next to nothing... You need to measure the pressure vs the vacuum in the manifold not atmospheric, which is a tad trickier (pressure gauge + vac gauge & add the two together.. in the garage/RR to check?)

Which is available with a guage (should not be permanently fitted)


and has been said - to see the true reading you need to clamp the air manifold feed...

Went down my local garage last night and they fitted one to the rail, got a steady 37psi so am pretty confident the pressure isn't at fault.

Depending upon your problem that may not be the case. You need to know if you have raised fuel pressure on wide open throttle. ie when maximum flow is required to be certian you have adequate rail pressure/sufficient flow of fuel.
