I'm a self confessed "Yeast extract"-aholic :

That's my breakfast selection - it goes with the 2x chilli sauces and whisk/orange marmalade

My Mum recently got back from Australia and brought me back some of the "Vegemite with Kraft cheese" - second from the left. It is totally delicious and horribly addictive....

However, I've nearly run out of it and it seems to be pretty hard to find in the UK - Does anyone know where I might be able to get some? Or - is anyone willing to ship me a few? smile

Err... easy solution.

Go work out the cheese and then just add the vegimite to it?

Surely its dairley, laughing cow, etc

You'd think - but it's not quite the same (I've tried it)...

They probably mean this stuff-

Not that there is any cheese in it, to my knowledge.

Googling it reveals

'While the exact recipe is a closely-held secret, the new Vegemite experience is, basically, regular vegemite combined with cream cheese."

Have you tried it with Philadelphia ?

Yup Malt extract, Grandfather used to workin Courage brewery & bring a mix home that tastes similar.
Apparently up until recently Bovril (Beef extract) was OK for veggies because they'd changed the way it was made because of CjD!

It sounds horrible, but you could try the Australia shop in Covent Garden.
The regular Vegemite you can get at a few big supermarkets around London.

Came out in June apparently...

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/new-vegemite...

The Australia Shop doesn't seem to have it yet. Brother-in-Law is visiting in a week or 2, so I'll try to get him to bring a couple of jars over. If he can fit it in amonst the cherry ripes, violet crumbles etc

I've not seen that one before - what is it and, more importantly, where can I get it from?

It's New Zealand Marmite. Flavour is somewhere between Aussie vegemite and UK marmite...

The NZ/Australia shop in Covent Garden has it.
