Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience of their son or daughter in a modelling agency?
My son is 3 and we were told by a photographer at Venture that we should get him into modelling....so we did. He was accepted but I've heard too many stories to agree to sign up and pay the £150 to get his cards ready.....
Are there good ones / bad ones etc?

Yep. Quite simple, really. Sorry, I meant, simples.
If they are honestly 'good enough' you will not have to pay a penny other than the cost of getting to and from locations. Even then expenses are often up for negotiation once 'working'.
Personally unless you are on the bread line i would walk away from it. Even if your kid 'makes it' it's a s

My cousins little girl does quite a bit of modelling - he tells me he was approached whilst out with her one day. She now does lots of photo modelling, kids toy sections in catalogues, etc.

I'm not expecting an income from my lad....but there is a need as kids are always required due to the fact they change so quickly....all pennies earned will be his....
It dosent matter how pretty your kid is or how cute they look. If they are easily distracted or dont like posing for the camera and cant take direction(really not many toddlers that can) then you have no chance.
My friends daughter did lots of modelling from 6 months to now at pushing four. Its very very long days for not an awful lot of money if you ask me £80 per day was around average and that was for big marketing campagins with marks and sparks etc.
Kids tire easily and its hard to keep a kid amused on a shoot.
