Uprated brakes

I am having a few bits and pieces done to my car, and I have been considering a Wilwood disc kit with alumium calipers. Anyhow, common sense is prevailing, and I remember various people of this forum saying they had great results by going to larger discs with Mondeo calipers etc. Please could someone remind what the options were.
To be honest, the standard brakes with Green stuff pads are pretty good, but there have been a couple of moments on trackdays at the ends of long straights where I could have done with a bit more braking effort as I have ploughed through some cones! Trouble is though, if I have more braking effort, I`ll probably just leave the braking later, if I dare?
