I look for pictures of M series cars on the internet from time to time.
One that I found very interesting is "The Shed" (scroll to bot.) at Lime Street Racing; it is described as "Modsport" 3000M.
An email to them to solicit more information bounced back undeliverable.
Does anyone here know anything about it?

Thanks,
B.

Looking at the pics of the Grantura and Cortina I would say that the site has something to do with Dan Nash in London, Last I heard he was RO for the London region.

Hi Bernard, people keep getting mailbox full message but I emptied it this morning and it still keeps saying full. I have however got your email. I built the engine initially it was for hill climbs so had masses of torque. It was probably over tyred and was very hard work. Awefully quick but rubbish driver. I did a few track days with it and after a few laps to get some heat into the tyres it was totally different ( but the driver didn,t improve) so I changed the cam for something much wilder. In that set up it was really powerful and after a few laps was brillinat, even I got quick in it. I still have build spec for engine somewhere but it had Swaymar group 1 heads and a Holley on low plenum inlet. Balanced lightened and a few trick bits. It was lightened to about 800 kilos. When I sold it I have no idea what was done to it or what state of tune it is in now. Happy days

The car was destroyed a few years back...with Dan driving, as memento's I still have the passenger side wheels (the drivers sides were destroyed) and a bright red crash pad! (Steve and Steve it was missing any trick engine bits when Dan bought it ...as I built one for it. and.... IF you need to know tyre sizes I have to go to my storage on Tues (I can look) I had fitted SE flares the car to get them to fit under properly.

Another picture of it on the front of my web site!

Thats a shame to hear, twas a good solid car. Wheels were "Speed and Design" 3 piece split rim lightweight specials 16"x10" rears and 16"x8" fronts and running Avon A15 soft slicks when I ran it.

That's a lot of rubber!!

Makes my 15x8 rears and 15x7.5 fronts seem poitively digestive biscuit like in profile!!

Are there any more pictures of the car in its final (pre-crash) form?

Hi Bernard, I only have pictures of it prior to the work we did ...and the pictures of the engine during the build. so none of it in it's final form with the rims and SE flares.

Anybody else?
Does Dan Nash post on here?

Adrian, from what I can see from the picture above, it looks as though you only did the SE flares at the rear; does that sound right?

Steve, Adrian, is that the battery shut-off switch below the left side vent?

Yes, the car had extended SE flairs on the rear only. I don't think that Dan is on here. Yes to the cut-out...on Steve's site you can see the original modified arches prior to the SE flairs being added.

I think/if I remember.... it, that it was being chased by a V8S in to Eau Rouge and Dan selected 4th and had not got the power to push it out of the corner...It had had a new Gearbox prior to that Spa weekend, I would need to speak to Dan for the full details. It was getting quicker with Dan driving, I had just addressed the front camber issues, my thoughts were that it was the first event with the wide tyres too (road tyres on those rims)

you can take Eau Rouge in 4th with an M but you must keep it on the revs and floor it just before, just try it!
