We were known as Pest Control Technicians some of the guys got really upset when referred to as The Rat Catcher.

There was a Rat catcher once called Brian Plummer (it was his Ferret that bit Richard Whiteley's finger). He was a stand in Teacher around south Yorkshire.
Once whilst a stand in science teacher his Lab assistant came to him and asked for a transfer.
"Why" asked Plummer
His assistant replied "I can't take it any more Brian. Haven't you heard what They've (the students) have nicknamed us? RATMAN & BOBBIN!"
This story alone stops me from entering such a profession.... Oh and also that I'm petrified of the awful Fecking things!

Did you watch the Ratpack last night on BBC1? Get yourself a terrier and have some great sport!!
This is what prompted my thinking!! Although imagine how long it is until they ban hunting with one dog. Would this be illegal, or is it only the hunting of foxes?!?What I wanted to ask was generally, what happens? You set a trap and go back every few days and check it until you catch the little minging b
d? (Or of course until the owner says they have heard the trap or something).Cheers
