Track down an iphone

Mods I would appreciate if you could leave this in a popular forum just to see what happens, especially as it was stolen from Haymarkets offices !!!

As above really, I left the thing in the toilet (disabled one might I add) and someone has made off with it.

Is there any way I can track it down with its GPS? Or is it a goner?

Mobileme can do it, you can remote wipe all data too.

Can't remember if you need to activate it or not, but its built in to the phone and is always on. You can get a 60 day trial and find out?

Yup... AS a mobile me user you can 'find my iphone' and it will give toy it location on a map, as well as let you wipe its memory, and send a message to it. I've tried it, and it's pretty cool indeed.

It should work on any iphone, regardless. You have to set it up though on the phone itself.

I think it will be more precise, but mine is within 50 metres. It all depends on how accurate your IP address is I suppose. I'm babysitting my niece at the moment, and it has me pretty balls on accurate.

Good point, battery has died now anyway

Well I would see where it went, there cannot be that many people riding a bike to my offices from said area. But alas it's too late.

Lets just hope I can sort the claim out with natwest, although I am always so wary of insurance..
