Just noticed that in the lead up to the Belgian GP the dear old beeb have a bunch of old race highlights featuring scenes such as this, which makes me happy

Includes a 23 year M. Schumacher winning his first race

Slightly OT - I stumbled on the footage on Youtube of When Mansell won the '91 Silverstone GP and picked Senna up and gave him a lift back.

A great moment and very popular with the crowd.

Some nice clips. Particularly enjoyed the 1985 wet race. Just love the sound of those 1.5litre turbos with flames on the entry to every corner

I spent a good chunk of last night watching them, it was great to relive Hill's win an '98. Didn't the '92 cars ground a lot? I was amazed at the amount of sparks coming off the pack on the first lap.

I don't know if its rose tinted glasses or what but F1 seemed to be so much better back then. Somehow watching men like Berger, Alesi, Senna, Mansell, Patrese, Prost do battle is so much more evocative and exciting.
