I have noticed that when I put the power down and lift off Im getting a real clonking noise that can be felt through my drivers seat. Doesnt happen when going over bumps or braking and there is no adverse vibration or shaking.

Im fairly certain that it must be the diff mounts that have gone or is something that is drive train related. Has anybody had any similar experiences.

Sounds like diff mounts and I had a similar problem last year - duly replaced under warranty.

Think I've got the same problem on my Mk2 and I had to have them changed on my Mk1 before.

If you can feel it through the car then it sounds like it needs checking asap. Probably worth checking your engine mounts as well as the NS one is a regular failure item due to the heat from the exhaust.
