Self control.. or lack there of..

Is a lack of self control a product of a personality defect or just not caring about/thinking of the consequences?
For example, When I have a few drinks, self control goes out the window. And I have got myself into some situations where I'm still suffering due to my spastic behaviour to this day.
I did have a habit of thinking f
k it, I'll think about it in the morning. IE spending money which was already set aside for paying off bills/loans which on reflection have put me right up st creek.
Maybe I'm just a who doesn't really give a fk.;/

Oh dear.
Really, I wouldn't worry about it too much tech'. It's just all part of having fun and growing up ( not trying to be potronising) everyone does it to some extent.
Just enjoy your young life and trust me in 10 years you will be recalling storys of your crazy days!

Man, if i had a quid for every morning i woke up and counted how much money i DIDN'T have after my antics, well then i wouldn't be typing this.
I suppose there is an element of you realising the 'problem' - but ho hum, st happens.
Get on with it, do your course and get a bar job to fund it, if that's what you need to do.

I was the same, which was why I gave it up completely 15 years ago. When you've woken up in a variety of police cells, jails and hospitals, in several countries, oblivious as to how you got there, then it doesn't matter whether you have self control or not, something is wrong with you when you're drinking.For example, When I have a few drinks, self control goes out the window.
