My hard tail rear suspension was stolen friday night. It was taken from the bike shed by my flats where i live in Croydon. The bike has silver bar ends and shimano clip in pedals, it also has a immobitag ( so it is a chance to see if it works ! )

Serial Number starts PJ6721...

If any one sees it for sale or hears anything let me know, i have passed all the info on to the police as well. One of my neighbours saw some one possibly scoping the area out in a Green Saffira.. He has the number plate which starts V48 and it has a GB sticker on the back - if that rings a bell to anyone then either let me or the police know - Thanks everyone !

sorry to hear about it, i think people who buy second hand bikes "no questions asked" are as much to blame, but all the buyer thinks is "what a bargain" rather than "where did it come from and why is it so cheap?"... they simply fuel the demand and the thieves go out and steal more. as i upgrade my bike it becomes more and more unique so if it is ever stolen and i see it out and about the guy on it better have his fighting pants on!

i wouldnt buy a second hand bike unless i was 100% sure it was not stolen regardless of the price, especailly knowing how gutted i would be if one of mine went missing. a seller with a stolen bike is obvious, a few techy questions and they are easily sussed.
