..... in the UK and one more Griffith in Australia!!!!!!



Last week the Griff underwent it's Australian road worthiness test and passed first go! I'd changed the seat belts for ones with Australian compliance numbers, all the setl belt chassis bolts came out easy enough so I was lucky there. I added a little light at the back for the rear number plate as the compulsory Australian issued ones are all metal. The inspector measured the exhaust at 89.9dB when the limit is 90dB @ 3300 rpm - I think he did me a favour The clutch master had given up from no use but a replacement one was easily found over here. A mouse (or mice) had been under the centre console and chewed through some wires, lucky for me they just ate the new wires I'd installed for the fan override switch and wires to integrate a new alarm into the old alarm's LED. I don't know why the mice didn't get stuck into any of the original wiring but I'm happy they didn't.

Not driven the car since Dec last year so gagging to get out in it. Its rained all week and weekend so all I've been able to do since the inspection is fit the new plates.

All Tvr's wiring was done using "Rodex insulation" which keeps the little critters from getting at the wiring.

In South Australia, "the driest state" but it doesn't feel it at the moment. Yes, yery pleased with the plate!
