Beautiful brisk, sunny day here in Massachusetts (low 40's F.)for our ride to Plymouth Rock to meet with the Cape Cod British Car Club for a short New Years Day Ride.

For those of you not familiar with Plymouth Rock, it is the rock that the Pilgrims first stepped onto in 1620 at low tide when arriving in this part of the country when they fled England to avoid religious persecution.

It's a "must see" area now for tourists, especially to see the Mayflower replica that's moored a few hundred yards from the rock. A tour of the interior of the Mayflower makes you appreciate what these people endured to arrive here. Kinda tight, like an Ultima!!

Happy New Year!

Looks like you were a lot luckier with the weather than we were over here.

We actually have snow flurries today, (Jan 2), so I can't drive the CanAm back to the shop (21 miles). I guess I could if I ask Andy how to handle it in the snow!!
What was weather like in Jolly Old England New Years Day?

Wet and windy.
It was dry in the garage so work progressed.
Happy New Year one and all.

Up here in Edinburgh it was a wash out. All our Hogmany celebrations were called off because of the wind and rain. The usual monster fireworks display on the Castle were called off as well. The tourists were dissappointed.

Us locals settled for getting inebriated indoors in the warm. There has to be a reason why we're about the only country to have today as a public holiday as well as yesterday.....
