I've ordered a shiny new LCD TV and I've got a question about the inputs.

It has 4 HDMI ports, 2 SCART and 1 component.

I have a early version Xbox 360 so can only put that into a component input as it lacks the HDMI port.

I also want to connect a Wii - they are not HD so I can't use the HDMI ports so I would have used component inputs, but my TV only has 1 component input.

Will there be much difference between SCART and component for the Wii or is there another way of doing things? Is there a [whatever early Xbox 360 output] to HDMI cable? The TV will have 3 HDMI ports free if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Both your Xbox and Wii should've come with scart adaptors to allow the component to plug into a scart socket.

So i would suggest just plugging that in and it should work.

Thanks - with the low resolution of the Wii, would there be much difference between the scart and component?

unlikely be much difference at all, you could always try it though?

na not much difference. there is not much difference to make it worthwhile in making the wii HD.

there's strong rumours coming out that in a year or so - to cement their position they will release a wii with MAJOR HD play in it but till then put the 360 on the component and wii on scart

I had the same problem as you and bought a component switch like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/HDTV-YPbPr-Component-Switc... works a treat
and there is definately a differance with the wii with the component cable.
