I was thinking of popping to look at this "too cheap" Viper today and was wondering if there are any significant expensive proplems pertaining to Vipers that I should look out for?
ANyone around this morning to advise me?
Thanks

Just about everything is expensive now on a viper, except servicing costs which is no worse than a Mondeo. Dave will put you right

Thanks a lot Dave. Ive just spoken to the chap and its not available for viewing and it seems like ther service history is incomplete thus it is a non starter.
Thanks for the offer and I shall be in touch in the future as I must own a Viper at some stage

Strange that it's not available for viewing... Makes it all the more questionnable in my book...

Keep in touch, there are a lot of highly knowledgeable viper owners here who will be more than happy to help.

Good luck with your search!

Be sure to check the frame.. if it has sat out side all its life there is no protection on these cars... especially check around the jacking points..

As said above.. not many have a full dealer history but most will have paperwork to show what has been done at what mileage,or if the car is a club car you will have no issues at all....

Check the clutch pedal for play and that the car starts easy with the pedal down.Pedal bushes ware..

Check head light switch works also prone to burning out...

Check soft top front front clips as they brake as well...

TOP of the list Head gaskets are not uncommon on these...
