Richard Wilson's Best Drives
Discussion
From the subtitles of the episode:
"I'll take the road from Callander to Inversnaid, a journey that promises fine views of several lochs and mountains, including one of Scotland's most revered driving roads, and culminates at the largest lake in Britain." (A84->A821->B829 I think)
There looks to be more information later in the programme and the full subtitles can be downloaded from here.

I only caught a bit of that programme but I'm sure it included the famous Duke's Pass to Aberfoyle.
Yea it was the Dukes Pass, from Callander to Aberfoyle. The 'pass' is probably actualy from Loch Arklet to Aberfoyle, but Kilmahog, just West of Callander is where the road starts. He also stopped off at Loch Katrine for a trip on the steamer and he also went up to Inversnaid on Loch Lomond from Aberfoyle.
It's a nice area to explore, but can be very busy with tourists and coaches etc on the narrow twisty roads.
The Dukes Pass is an incredible road. I like the approach from Aberfoyle, as it climbs and winds it's way up the hillside. Quite often though, you get a fright from a Loch and Glens coach in the middle of the road as you come round a blind bend.....
I was last up it the other month there, as a couple of friends and I were going hillwalking up Ben Venue, which got cancelled when we were there because the weather was foul. We were in one of my friend's Alfa 159, which seemed to enjoy the road a lot. My other mate in the back of the car didn't like it as much though.
