I've had a bit of a problem for a while with the heater valve, where a full turn of the knob makes the valve go hot-cold-hot and vice versa. I've now developed another fault where the fan will run for maybe half an hour then just get slower and slower. If I turn it off for a while it'll start up then do the same.
Anyone had anything like this?
I've had a problem in the heater control module in the past where the re-circ button was not working but had this repaired, could it be the module developing another fault?

Its almost as if you've lost one or both of the micro switches. Have you had a look under the dash at what the motor is doing?
As far as I can remember there are no micro switches on it just a potentiometer?? I'm assuming the heater valve is just a ball valve so should just turn 1/4 turn from 'on' to 'off'. mine does 1/2 turn.Its almost as if you've lost one or both of the micro switches. Rob, if it was brushes why would it slowdown and then start again after a rest? Not doubting what you say just asking the theory behind it
