A new alternator has been fitted, it was an engine out job completed by MNR under warranty. We've had a couple of other things looked at while the car has been with them but we should be ready for a good chunk of track action at cadwell on the 9th.

Get the m3 fired up and we'll see you there!?

Quite tempted as it's a cheap day, will see if I can get the day off work.

Got it booked, going to bring the 325i as the tax has just ran out on the M3.

Can anyone recommend a B&B nearby for the night before?

Louth is a different kind of night out. I sampled it on a bank holiday sunday once. It was actually a good night.

The pubs even have lists of peoples names displayed who are barred along with the reason why. A nice touch.

Booked in at the old rectory, near Louth if you and Wayne want to meet up for a pint on the tuesday evening.

Nice to hear you are going.

We tend to just drive down on the morning as cadwell is not too far away.

See you there.

Fair enough,

I've just ordered a set of ex BTCC Dunlop wets just incase, trouble is I can either bring them or the slicks with me as I haven't got room for both so will have to take a gamble on the weather.

We will be on the R888's as... thats all we have.
I would just wait till the last minute and check the weather forecast.

A friend in a vx220 is also joining us.

Overall it was a good day, weather was great and the track wasnt too busy.
There seemed to be a high attrition rate though!

Thats to sniffdiesel for the laps in his stripped 325 track car. You have a good track tool there. I will stick with the kit car though as such luxuries as a heater and a windscreen are not for me these days.

I need to get back to Cadwell soon. Love the place.

Was indeed a great day with a high standard of driving and not such difference in speeds between the fastest and slowest cars there which was nice. I think Cadwell is my favorite track in the UK now - will definately be going back.

Thanks to Kev for lending me your jack and for letting us dump our stuff in the Quashpig. Glad you enjoyed the 325, hope I haven't persuded you to rip the seats and carpets out of your M3.

Also thanks to Darren for the laps in the VX220.

I notice you are running a pug. We got into a bit of a drag race with a 205. We were in the red astra vxr at this point. The pug has some serious straight line speed, posibily a Mi16. Good cars.
