Fell off in my hand while washing the car. Regular Lamborghini badge, got a double sided sticky pad on the back. There are three holes in the bonnet and pins on the badge but they seem to be locating pins rather than fastening pins, so I think the badge stays on just with the glue. I'm assuming a new sticky pad is the way to go rather than superglue - any pointers to sources for them ? Thank you.

It was more that a full new badge was coming up at GBP 400+ on Eurospares, so I was looking for pointers for the generic backing material. I assume this is some sort of specialist automotive adhesive rather than the stuff on a Post-it note.
Halfords / local Motor Factor, number plate tape, cut to fit, job doneNewc][Quote said:

The pins on the back should be threaded
Great ideas, thank you very much.waysideadhesives.com

Don't know about this make of tape, but I have some from somewhere else and it works really well on badges on other cars, haven't needed it on the Lambo. Most manufacturers these days use this tape for badges, bolting them through the panel allows a place for rust to start.Personally, it might not be totally correct on older Lambos if the badge was originally threaded, but using tape rather than bolts will stop water ingress and rust on older cars (await the concours d'elegance nerds response on that). If you were to bolt the badge on, maybe a bit of this tape round the edge will ensure it doesn't come off again and it would help to seal the back from the elements.

Just using tape might result in a stolen badge (not fun @ +/- 400£ for a new one...)

The Lamborghini bonnets are fibreglass, so shouldn't pose a problem really...

Not all Lamborghini's have fibreglass bonnets and as the OP hasn't stated what car he owns any advice is general.Just using tape might result in a stolen badge (not fun @ +/- 400£ for a new one...)
Hopefully I can help I replaced mine last month at a cost £140 the old £400 badge is not made anymore and the new plastic replacement is now the standard as per the LP670
there are 3 holes in the bonnet although only one is used for fastening which has anut underneath the bonnet
I prefer the old style where the bull is actualy mounted on the badge but once it's on you never really notice the difference
the new badge comes with a sticky rear pad couple that along with the nut these secure the badge down just fine
if you need anthing just pm me
SirM

Lambo or Eurospares?
Just had the bonnet in for spraying and idiots who had it before have broken the badge and it only has 2 threaded studs on as result....
