Hi

Had the Cerbie out yesterday (First time for a month)
When I returned from my blast the car was hot temp over 90 + on gauge and fans were on!
While the car was on tickover 900 rpm ish the oil presusure on the gauge showed just above 40 psi but the oil light came on (This has not happened before).
The light went out once I increased the revs to over 1200.
What do people think?
Is this normail or should I start saving for an engine rebuild!
O! Car has only done 12000 miles! and is a 4.5

Try fitting a new oil pressure relief spring. They get weaker as they age. Some independents fit them as a matter of course at major services. Cost is tiny and may well remove the need for a rebuild.
