Not all have AC.
Need to understand if that engine been looked after, no real faults as such.

They are great, the engines are solid if well looked after.
The ac is really not needed, if you get too hot take the top off.
Likewise mine is rather upsettingly in the classifieds. It just dosnt get used now that I am in London and it is in Henley...

Im not selling mine and i also owned a Cerb for a while so this is not a sales pitch and i know what a Cerb is like....you will LOVE the TAM, it just feels a more complete and modern car. Air con???? In the summer you WILL drive with the roof off...so its not a neccessity. Nice to have but not needed. I havnt owned the Tam for very long but i have been using it as my daily driver with no issuses apart from the fact that i have now had to buy another daily driver because even as a daily driver a quick jaunt to the shop for milk would turn into a 40 mile journy. It really is that much of a pleasure to drive.
IMO aircon is a must, it is was a 2k option. I think it is less common on Tamoras than the other later models due to the convertible aspect. These cars get plenty of heat soak and you can't have the top off in the heavy rain. Of course if you never intend to put the roof on then you might be fine.
BTW, it does work very well. My car had an aircon recharge a few months ago (while owned by someone else). Now I find it too cold to use for more than a few minutes with the vents pointed at me (TVR don't mix the warm/cold air so you get blasted).

I actually sold my (early model) cerb at the start of the summer, and a few weeks later found myself the proud owner of a lovely viper blue Tamora. Simply put, it has totally surpassed all of my expectations. From the outset, everything about it just feels so much more modern and together- the interior, though being much smaller overall, even with the roof on feels soooo much more spacious. The thing that struck me most though was just how easy it was to drive, to the extent that even on my drive home from the dealer I felt comfortable nudging the tail out over round abouts. Partly this is due to the lighter, slower and more feelsome steering, but mainly is just the way that the engine works through the revs that you always know where you are with it. It pulls off the impressivle trick of feeling no less characterful, but so much less comprimised. For that reason alone, I can totally see why TVR put their weight behind the 6 rather than the ajp (even if that decision proved to ultimtely to their downfall), as it just feels so much more conventional, but not at all in a bad way. On another note, I've found that using the (albeit somewhat subjective) dyno/performance meter program on my iphonem that whilst I can get as much better launches off the line with the Tam than the cerb, which gives rise to better 0-60's in the Tam, the Cerb really is in a different league in the 0-100 category, as the incrimentals are a lot smaller in the cerb. But hey, the Tam is hardly slow.
As a final point... my car doesnt have air-con and I dont feel I miss it at all. I've never suffered from appreciable heat soak in my car though- perhaps because its got a new uprated rad, who knows.

This is my experience with a Tamora without AC hot sunny day top down stuck on the M5 in traffic jam heat from engine plus the sun beating down it was unbearable, its also uncomfortable with roof on and windows down and heater set to cold and fan running at max.So yes I will say don't buy any speedsix car without AC unless you like sitting in an ovan.
All my following speedsix cars were fitted with AC as is my current Tamora which is just fantastic and if required ice cold too.
