1. Cruising, car pulls fine and picks up nice and quick but when cruising at a constant speed with only a very slight throttle it feels a little lumpy, nothing bad, feels similar if I try and get it to idle at 900-1000, I've set it at around 1400. I guess I need to change the HT leads and spark plugs and check for air leaks after the metering unit on the K jet. Has anyone tweeked the idle mixture on a k jet with success?

2. Temp, my car seems to warm up fairly quickly and seems to stick rigid around the 90 mark (just above horizontal on the gauge. is this the norm? would have prefered 80-85 but how accurate are the guages anyway?

3. Brake pedal feel, how hard/or soft is the brake pedal meant to be. without the engine running it is nice and hard, with the servo it has reasonable movement buts does pull up ok in the end.

4. How low

Looked lovely this low after new rear shocks but unfortunately scrapes my driveway, so I have raised it

If anyone is passing wellingborough/northampton pop in it would be good to compare.

Mike

I'll have to check with her indoors first, I fancy I dry drive so I'll see what the weather is looking like.

Height should be 155-165mm measured from ground to bottom of square chassis rail in middle then set rear so rear of outrigger is 10-20mm higher than front of outrigger.

But of course if the height suits you and your driving then it is correct wink

Priority is getting it off the drive without scraping the exhaust. Would probably tweek it for track days though.

Hi, my 2.8S runs lumpy on tickover to, but a few people have told me that they think mine has high lift cams in it which cause this, possibly yours has to.
My temp gauge is not accurate at all it soon warms up and is constantly in the red but it is not overheating as the fan cuts in and out as it should at 90c and i have checked the temperature and it is fine. If yours is running on the 90c line then it sounds like it's spot on where it should be.

1. Can't help with the 2.8 engine I'm afraid

2. Seems normal

4. Seems normal. Adjustment to suit driveways and garage sills is part of the experience!
