Hi, I'm currently suffering from vibration at speed in my 2001 DB& Vantage Volante. The garage that services my car said because of the soft alloy nature of the rims that this may not be resolved by having the wheels refurbished so I'm wondering can anyone recommend either somewhere to buy new rims from or any alternatives I can try. I have read on here that Vanquish wheels may be a direct replacment - anyone confirm/recommend any others. I like the look of the Kahn alloys but can't justify going to retail for those.

Thanks
Pete

vanquish wheels are a direct replacement, i bought my db7 with them already on.q1uite a subtle difference to what i later noticed were standard wheels.when i had the car i did find a fair bit of tramlining because those vanquish rims are huge but i never did have the car in its original state to compare to.

thanks for that, although they will be more expensive than the DB7 wheels. Any other suggestions??

Hi pete, firstly i would be surprised if it is the wheels, firstly is the car stored for long periods (4 weeks+) secondly have you had the wheels balanced, thirdly and meaning no disrespect the people who have looked after your car are they a specialist or a dealer or a garage who carries out general repairs and servicing,

if you could give me as many details as possible as to when the vibration occurs i may be able to give you some advice, i.e. at certain road speeds, can you drive through the vibration( at faster speeds it is ok) do you feel it through the steering wheel or through the seat of your pants, is it on braking or decelerating, does the car feel unstable at speed (50+)

If you wish to change your wheels let me know which size you would prefer 18" or 19" genuine or non genuine and your location so that i can recommend someone in your area
