Driveshaft CV Joint
Discussion
Picked up a 'click click' sound coming from the rear o/s on tight turn in, after a quick look the CV boot had split and it's been running dry so more than likely the CV joint that's gone. Had a scan through the EP list and can't see the driveshaft CV joints listed. OE part number is TVR R0040, CT do them for £85 and RG for £130, just wondered if anyone knew what they are from originally and if so a part number?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I think the cerb uses an uprated CV joint from GKN possibly and as such isn't really off another car .. but you may well find something with the same generic bolt pattern that will do the job. Don't go for the std chim/griff CV joint though as that's a cheaper inferior part (at least it's listed under a different part number and is a bit cheaper to buy!) . To be honest if you can get the proper cerbera joint for 80 pounds plus carriage and vat i'd just buy that!
