Would any of you care to recommend me a seat for my little girl as I would like to take her out for a cycle at the weekends. I've no idea on makes or prices but I can safely say I'll not be buying the Veyron of child seats.
Get a Hamax - they clamp to the seat tube and have springy arms so the seat gets some form of suspension. I have one which mounts on a pannier rack and it is very bumpy for them so no good for parks etc.
