Hey all, i have an itch, an itch to build some kind of model i can stick on a shelftongue out

I am looking for something that will not be too challenging, I'm thinking along the lines of a tank, maybe a Tiger.
Now i want a decent looking model at the end of it, so what brands should i be looking at?

Or has anyone got any ideas of something else to build, i just do not fancy making a car.

Why not make a Battleship?

I have been tempted by The Airfix HMS Hood myself

Hmm battleship good idea, i need something a little smaller though for the shelf. Hmm perhaps if i can find one of those attack boats we had in WW2 that fired torpedos. Or maybe a little snazzy Destroyer class or something.

As a teenager I built an airfix battleship 'Prince of Wales' but ended up adding some plastacine ballast to the inside of the hull & sent it off across the local fishing pond where it remained for several days.

Tanks, Tamiya do some great kits at resonable prices and they look good on desks.

Battle ships don't look right when the aren't in water.

Tamiya's 1/35 Tiger 1 looks really good.
