Thanks vey much for the comments. Neil, your team has been doing a great job this season, keep up the good work of turning out winners. I must say in response to the comment about young Brian, I would not even attempt his job and commentate. At my age I find I'm getting forgetful, so at 75, not far off twice my age, I'd say he's pretty sharp.

Maybe I've been spoiled by the brilliance of Hindy and Addison over the years, but those guys can make any race sound exciting.
Hindy has worked on the 24 in the past and is superb.
I spent the two days after Snett up at Cadwell, watching the British Superbikes. The BSB commentator is a fellow called Fred Clarke. He's been doing it for over 40 years, so he's no spring chicken either, but he's streets ahead of Mr Jones - and really knows his stuff about all the classes and riders.

I did a vid of the North West 200 this year and Fred was in it. Going off topic slightly, (non bikers can go and make a cuppa tea) you must tell me what bike you ride. I,ve not long been back from a bike trip in Norway, we got as far as the arctic circle. I,m currently putting a film together of the trip.
Really unfair comments about Brian - Britcar is the only true "endurance" championship in the country, and last Saturday he commentated for 2 hours, then 4 hours, with no breaks during the races, plus, he's got 20-30 cars, and 50-odd drivers in each race to remember, not just 11 cars, as in BGT.
With one eye on the screen, and one on the track (what can be seen of it from the restricted view of the commentary box), and keeping the dialogue going, it is possible to miss something, perhaps something crucial. If somebody goes off, or overtakes, at the Esses, that's unseen by the commentator.
It's easy to criticise from afar - it could be said that XXXXX is a lousy team because there cars never make it to the flag, or XXXXX is a poor driver because he's always last, but each of those circumstances involve real people, who are trying their hardest. And, as everybody knows, there are no "passengers" in Britcar - drivers, teams, officials, all involved - work hard to get the show on track, and keep it running.
Allow Brian his "Murray Moments" - we all deserve them, and we should cherish them.

Ah, sorry, no, I don't ride a bike. It's on the 'to do' list, but hasn't reached the top yet... I was just at Cadwell to watch the lunatics at the craziest track in the country. First time I've been to either the track or a bike race, so it was a sensory overload despite watching it for years on TV.I rather fancy some sort of massive KTM trail bike, as I know I'd do myself an injury on a sports bike.
Spooky, that's how I came to be Darren950 because I use to have a KTM 950 adventure which I toured around Europe for a couple years, not continuously I might add, I did go to work in between trips. Cadwell is a fantastic circuit to watch and ride. I have an Yamaha R1 track bike which I,ve ridden around Cadwell, the mountain still scares the crap out of me everytime I go over it.

Hear hear. The man is a legend and is one of life's gentleman and a true character. He does a terrific job and devotes an enormous amount of time benefiting the competitors, spectators and the entire event. Thank you Brian. Ha, an odd coincidence indeed. I've a bad feeling that I may be a touch short in the leg for such a bike, so would need stabilisers or a baked bean can on each foot.The Mountain was breathtaking, but the real wide-eyed moments for me were watching them through turn 1 - the speed they carry down the pit straight into the corner is mind-bending.
I have to say that Brian work is perfect. I growed dreaming on doing the Formula Ford festival, and for me to hear Brian speack my name is a true honor. I think he follows the race perfectly in a way that I am sure none of us can do. He is really really good at his job, and is a plus for Britcar to have him in the commentary box.
Daren is another asset for Britcar, great vid again, is better every time.
